The NACDA was established in response to the drug problem to assist in our continued need to improve our knowledge and understanding of problem drug use.
The goal of the NACDA is to advise the Government on problem drug use in Ireland in relation to prevalence, prevention consequences and treatment based on our analysis and interpretation of research findings.
Launch of Report on Family Study. Seminar was held in the Gresham hotel and was attended by Mr Noel Ahern TD, Minister of State for the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs with responsibility for the National Drugs Strategy. Dr Des Corrigan provided a keynote address on behalf of the NACD. Presentations were made by Dr. Carmel Duggan, WRC Consulting Ltd, Mr. Phillip Keegan and Ms Sadie Grace of the Family Support Network.
A DVD was produced in conjunction with the launch of the report and this was used as the presentation.
